Reading Proofreaders' Marks is a practice set that gives students thorough practice interpreting standard proofreaders' marks and producing accurate, well-formatted documents from marked rough drafts. For each of the 40 jobs in the set, students recieve a correctly marked rough draft; they then interpret the proofreaders' marks and keyboard a finished copy of the material.
Reading Proofreaders' Marks includes these features:
- Rough draft material consists of typical office communications.
The practice set provides practice with realistic business documents. The set includes letters in block, modified block, and simplified formats. Memos, tabulations and charts, and short reports are also included in the set.
- For additional practice 15 jobs contain unmarked errors
The set can be used in a variety of courses: machine transciption, shorthand, advanced keyboarding, or as a proofreading module for office procedures.
