Correct Spelling is designed to help correct spelling become second nature to your students. The workbook provides instruction in these essential areas: plurals, possessives of nouns, noun and adjective endings, suffixes of nouns and adjectives, verb and adverb endings, syllables and endings often confused, and words often confused.

The instruction in the text is organized into these elements:
INFORMATION. An information section begins each unit with guidelines and examples that outline and illustrate correct spelling.

PRACTICE. Each information section is followed by exercises that give students practice with the rules and guidelines presented. Answers to these exercises are in the back of the book.

APPLICATION. At the end of each unit is a two page review exercise that gives students the opportunity to apply the concepts presented in the unit.

RECAP. At regular intervals, there are summaries of the guidelines presented in the preceeding units followed by additional exercises for review and reinforcement.

OVERVIEW. The final unit in the text is a comprehensive review exercise covering all material presented in the text.
Correct Spelling can be used individually for a short course or used with Applied English Essentials, Fifth Edition and Applied Punctuation, Sixth Edition as part of the three-workbook set Basic English for a complete English course.
