Many students have a great difficulty in
understanding accounting language. Over the years the author, Jeffery Slater,
found himself asked countless times to come up with simple definitions, simple
examples to back up these definitions, and some type of organization which would
get the point across in a clear and understandable manner.
With this inspiration, the birth of Simplifying Accounting Language took
place. The goal of the book is not to replace an accounting textbook, nor
the accounting instructor, nor the accounting support material. Simplifying
Accounting Language uses simple definitions, simple examples, and a touch of
humor to present brief and clear definitions to the terminology used in
accounting
